The World of Tanks team has announced a partnership with Ubisoft to launch Battle Pass Special: Far Cry, a limited-time event inspired by the FARCRY universe.
The event begins July 16 and runs through July 27, bringing FARCRY characters, customization rewards, exclusive 2D styles, and a new tank featuring a jungle-crafted 3D style.
The M-VII-Y is described as a rugged American Tier IX heavy tank. It is available through Chapter Progression and comes with the “Twisting Paths” 3D style, which features palm leaves on the turret and a cannon inspired by Citra’s Knife, with a blade-like shape and carved tribal patterns.
Five FARCRY characters, each featuring unique voiceovers, will join the battlefield. Through Chapter Progression, players can recruit Jack Carver, described as a hardened ex-Navy officer, and Dr. George Krieger, described as a brilliant but disgraced geneticist. Additional themed bundles unlock Jason Brody, described as a reluctant survivor shaped by chaos; Citra Talugmai, described as an enigmatic and revered Rakyat leader; and Pagan Min, described as the charismatic yet ruthless self-proclaimed King of Kyrat.
By progressing through Chapter Stages, Commanders can earn FARCRY-inspired rewards across both Base and Improved tracks, including themed 2D customization items.
The “Trouble in Paradise” 2D style is based on the red Hawaiian shirt worn by Jack Carver in the original FARCRY game. The “Tatau” 2D style recreates tribal markings of the Rakyat people, covering the tank with symbols and traditions of the islands. The “Jungle Fever” 2D style draws on the visual identity of FARCRY 3, including its artwork and Citra’s knife.
Players can also purchase themed bundles and complete combat missions to unlock additional franchise-inspired rewards.
