During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, while people around the world pay more and more attention to helping others, we might forget about our friends in sheltered homes. These unclaimed pets suffer from shrinking donations, food, and medical supplies.
In an effort to bring this to more people’s attention, the Soi Dog Foundation and The Leo Burnett Group Thailand have launched a campaign “Pet Shows for Good” that calls on pet owners to record and then post their pets online on Facebook and Instagram to support the campaign for people to donate to foundations.
From the foundation’s posts of the campaign, the word spread out quickly. Celebrities joined in and that sprung into a huge user-generated content. Viewers smile while watching these videos and their donations make sheltered animals smile again too.
The donation goes to Soi Dog, Home4Animals, and The Voice Thailand to buy food and medical supplies.
After just two weeks, the campaign received 300% donations with zero budget spent. “Pet Shows for Good” help from friends to friends.
