Independent public relations and content agency Bud Communications has added Daikin and WEX to its client roster, with the Australian business also expanding its team.
Daikin joins the agency’s roster of enterprise clients, while WEX, a global payments and fleet management company, has appointed Bud to lead public relations across the Asia-Pacific region.
Bud’s proprietary Believability Framework (BBF) has been used in new business pitches to articulate where a brand’s credibility lies and the white space it can occupy. The framework turns ideas including trust, credibility and authenticity into a structured, scoreable diagnostic and is used in ongoing public relations strategy for the agency’s clients.
“Australia has been one of our best growth stories these past two years,” said Oliver Budgen, CEO and Founder at Bud Communications.
“Going from a one-person outpost to a fast-growing team, and picking up accounts like Daikin and WEX, largely through word of mouth, comes down to how we work: focusing on building client believability, adopting and applying new technology, and nurturing a culture that lets us attract people who’d rather challenge how comms is done rather than repeat it.”
Bud has also added former AdNews Deputy Editor Ashley Regan as Senior Content Executive. Regan has spent six years in editorial and content roles across clients and industries, with a focus on the Australian media and marketing sectors. Her work has been recognized at the Australian IT Journalism Awards (The Lizzies).

“We’re thrilled to have someone of Ash’s journalistic calibre join Bud’s Australia team. Not only does she expand our presence to Melbourne, she also brings a wealth of experience across industries where the majority of our clients do business. Her addition further demonstrates Bud’s ability to provide both best in class PR and genuinely impactful marketing content for our partners,” said Richie Kenzie, Australia Lead, Bud Communications.
“Alongside the slate of new client wins we’ve had in the first half of the year, it’s been an extremely positive period overall for the business and we’re excited to continue our upward momentum.”
Bud Communications is headquartered in Singapore, with offices in Sydney and Manila and operations in Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan. Since launching in Australia in 2024, Bud Australia has grown from a one-person to a four-person team servicing clients across the Asia-Pacific region.
