Adobe Reveals New Firefly AI models With Native Integration Across Creative Cloud, Express, and Experience Cloud

Adobe Firefly models and web application are now commercially available after a beta.

In what it describes as “unleashing a new era of AI-enhanced creativity for millions of customers across the globe,” Adobe has announced that Firefly-powered capabilities are now commercially available across Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Express, and Adobe Experience Cloud.

With this announcement comes the launch of Firefly’s web application, the latest innovations in Adobe Express that will make content creation fast, easy, and fun, and the Generative Credits subscription program, among other exciting developments.

Following a six-month beta, Adobe Firefly-powered features are now available across several Creative Cloud apps, including Generative Fill and Generative Expand in Photoshop, Generative Recolor in Illustrator, and Text to Image and Text effects in Adobe Express.

Adobe Express’ latest innovations

Firefly features in Express, including Text to Image and Text Effects, are now commercially available to creators globally, revolutionizing how people and brands around the world turn ideas into standout content and stunning social media campaigns. Express with Firefly is now directly integrated into Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), empowering enterprises to seamlessly create, collaborate and deliver content velocity at scale.

Introducing Generative Credits

The Firefly web application, Express Premium and Creative Cloud paid plans now include an allocation of Generative Credits, a new credit-based model for generative AI across all offerings. Generative Credits are tokens that enable customers to turn a text-based prompt into image and vector creations. After the plan-specific number of Generative Credits is reached, subscribers can buy additional subscription packs, starting at US$4.99/month for 100 Credits, or continue to create generative AI images and text effects at slower speeds.

Firefly Contributor Bonus for Stock Contributors

Adobe said that all eligible Adobe Stock contributors whose content was used to train the first commercial Firefly model will receive a Firefly bonus with the initial bonus based on the all-time total number of approved images submitted to Adobe Stock that were used for Firefly training, and the number of licenses that those images generated in the 12-month period between June 3rd, 2022, to June 2nd, 2023. The next Firefly Bonus is planned for 2024 for new content used for training Firefly.
