BBC Worldwide has tapped Kenny Hau as Advertising Strategic Partnership and Development Director, Southeast Asia. Hau is tasked with expanding advertising revenue in the quickly-growing region.
In a statement BBC Worldwide said Hau “will work closely with BBC Worldwide’s pan-regional and global advertising sales teams, and manage local affiliate partner ad sales relationships and local sales houses, developing sponsorship packages across the non-news business and programme syndication.”
BBC Worldwide, Hau’s comes from a regional sport and entertainment background working with with Catalyst Media Group, Commonwealth McCann, GroupM ESP and ESPN Star Sports.
“The South East Asia region is a dynamic and important region for BBC Worldwide,” said Monty Ghai, SVP and General Manager for SEA.
“We are very excited to have someone of Kenny’s calibre join the SEA team. He has held senior management roles in broadcast media networks, specialist agencies and a media agency conglomerate and has worked on award-winning projects.”
