The Seoul Tourism Organization has announced a global promotional campaign featuring celebrity chef and Seoul Honorary Ambassador Edward Lee. The first video in the series, titled “Seoul Table for One,” premiered on June 5 on the official tourism YouTube channel, VisitSeoul TV.
Lee, known for his appearances on Bravo’s “Top Chef” and Netflix’s “Culinary Class Wars,” explores Seoul’s culinary landscape in “Seoul Table for One.” The video showcases his visits to local eateries, bustling food markets including Noryangjin Fish Market and Gwangjang Market, fine-dining restaurants, and street food vendors, presenting the city’s diverse flavors to a global audience.
The second video, “Solo in Seoul,” is scheduled for release on June 11. It will follow Lee as he experiences solo-friendly activities throughout the city. Featured locations include a tram ride past Changgyeonggung Palace, a hike on Bugaksan Mountain, strolls through Insadong, the Seoul Sky Bridge tour, and the SEOULDAL helium balloon at Yeouido Park.
The campaign is a collaboration between the Seoul Tourism Organization and NBCUniversal. The videos will be promoted on social media and broadcast on NBCUniversal platforms across North America, Europe, and Asia.
“Through global celebrity chef Edward Lee, we aim to promote Seoul’s charm to international travelers, thereby boosting global tourism demand,” said an official from the Seoul Tourism Organization.
