Razorpay has elevated Apuarv Sethi to Chief Marketing Officer, expanding his remit to cover marketing and SME business growth across India and Southeast Asia.
Sethi joined Razorpay as Vice President of Marketing in April 2021. In his most recent role as Senior Vice President of Marketing, he led the company’s brand strategy, product marketing, performance marketing, communications, and customer engagement initiatives, with a focus on SME growth.
Campaigns during his tenure include ‘Backing India’s Boldest,’ which celebrated 37 homegrown startups and their founders during India’s cricketing moments; ‘#ImaginedThroughAI,’ an AI-powered founder-first print ad campaign; and ‘Get Paid, Not Played,’ which addressed hidden fees in cross-border payments.
In the CMO role, Sethi will oversee Razorpay’s go-to-market strategy, ecosystem initiatives, revenue acceleration, and growth across geographies and product lines, with a focus on AI-powered marketing.
Before Razorpay, he held roles at Flipkart, Mindtree, and Manipal Global Education Services.
