LG Mobile has uploaded an ad on YouTube pitching the LG Q7 BTS phone – a limited edition model of the device that was originally released in Korea back in September.
The spot, which explains the phone’s features, is part of a series of ads released earlier this year promoting the device inspired by the Kpop group.
The special edition version offers the legion of fans, known collectively as the “BTS Army”, features such as a BTS logo engraved on the back, BTS branded packaging, and a BTS branded charger and earphones.
The smartphone itself also includes a variety of BTS content customized by the seven members including:
- Handwritten emoji from group members
- BTS wallpaper and photo gallery featuring unreleased images
- “Wake-Up Call” and “Good-Night Call” with BTS voice greetings
- Ringtones featuring member’s voices
- Photo with BTS – which allows selfies with different members
In one of the earlier segments, BTS member “Rap Monster” says, “We decided to create a phone that combines the heart of LG and BTS.”
Here is the spot uploaded to LG’s YouTube page earlier this week – including an English-language guide explaining how to use the various features.

The phone was released in South Korea for 473,000 KRW ($419 USD).
LG’s website has more info, including content that BTS fans will no doubt eat up.

BTS has been having its share of recent PR woes in the international media over images of member “Rap Monster” wearing a hat emblazoned with a Nazi-like symbol, and another of fellow member Jimin wearing what some accused as being an insensitive T-shirt depicting the US atomic bombing of Japan.
