Z2C Limited has announced the promotion of Babar Khan Javed to Chief Communications Officer.
Reporting to Z2C Limited chairman Raihan Ali Merchant, Khan Javed will oversee all corporate communications, including internal, external, executive, and financial communications. He will also lead efforts to develop and tell the story of portfolio companies under Z2C Limited, as the venture accelerator continues launching companies that aim to disrupt the media supply chain.
Khan Javed joined Z2C Limited in 2021 to launch a strategic communications firm for the stakeholder economy. Accredited in public affairs with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), Khan Javed helped clients predict, prepare, and respond to crises. His advisory practice offers international earned media corporate communications to clients and executives seeking to signal thought leadership in foreign publications.
To test out the CIPR framework for earned media relations, Khan Javed pitched his own perspectives and hot takes to reporters worldwide. As a communications executive, his op-eds have been published in CIM’s Catalyst magazine and Warc’s Market Leader magazine.
As a spokesperson for Z2C Limited, Khan Javed has been quoted in a number of reputable business publications including Business Insider, CMSwire, Digiday, Forbes, and S&P Global. The lessons learned from these successful earned pitches were applied to helping Pakistani clients tap international audiences that trust and read publications such as Fortune magazine, Business Recorder, Deal Street Asia, Bloomberg, and Reuters.
Prior to his role with Z2C Limited, Khan Javed was an investigative journalist covering the technology, media, and telecommunications industries. His work has been published in Campaign Asia-Pacific, PR Week, CIO Magazine, TechCrunch, and Branding in Asia.
