WPP’s global media organization, WPP Media, has launched Advanced Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising in South Korea.
South Korea’s out-of-home advertising market is projected to reach approximately US$759.89 million in 2026, according to data Statista cited by WPP Media. Digital Out-of-Home is forecast to account for US$542.97 million of that total and is projected to grow at a 6.63% compound annual growth rate from 2026 to 2030, driven by the adoption of digital displays, programmatic buying, and technology-enabled engagement across South Korea’s dense urban environments.
“South Korea is a market with significant growth potential for DOOH, and advertisers are seeking more intelligent ways to engage their audiences,” said Michael Beecroft, CEO, Northeast Asia, WPP Media.
“Advanced DOOH is designed to help brands move beyond simple panel buying. It’s about deeply understanding consumer journeys and delivering contextually relevant messages that drive measurable business outcomes.”
Advanced DOOH combines the mass reach of traditional out-of-home advertising with the data capabilities, operational flexibility, and precise targeting of digital media. Its core differentiator lies in moving beyond simple location-based assumptions to audience-based precision, delivered through a proprietary DOOH planning and measurement tool.
Capabilities include analysis of audience movement patterns, visit behaviors, and geo-behavioral signals; data-backed screen recommendations and audience composition insights; access to inventory across urban, transit, retail, and commercial environments; programmatic campaign management and real-time optimization; dynamic creative that adapts based on real-time signals; and measurement covering reach, impressions, frequency, footfall attribution, and brand lift studies.
