Wargaming, developer and publisher of World of Warships: Legends, is marking the naval battle MMO’s seventh anniversary with an August update that includes anniversary activities, a new limited-time battle mode, another five-week campaign, and new ways to earn in-game currency.
To celebrate the anniversary, players can take part in a daily calendar, a web-based Treasure Hunt event, and other activities to earn a currency called Mariner’s Coins. The coins can be exchanged for rewards including two new ships: Soviet Tier V Premium battleship Novorossiysk and Spanish Tier VIII Premium cruiser Almirante Oquendo.
Players can also obtain Explorer’s Chests, featuring birthday-themed rewards from previous years, with a chance to drop a Grand Explorer’s Chest, which can contain exclusive golden ships or the new German Legendary Tier battleship Mecklenburg.
A new campaign, ‘Noble Lombard’, spans five weeks and 100 milestones. Players with active Admiralty Backing can unlock the Italian Tier VIII Premium cruiser Ferrante Gonzaga at the campaign’s conclusion. The ship is equipped with rapid-firing guns that fire high-explosive and semi-armor piercing shells, along with torpedoes.
Franklin D. Roosevelt, a new U.S. Legendary Tier aircraft carrier, is also being added and can be purchased with Steel in the Forge section of the Store. Steel can be earned through new Ranked Seasons offering double the usual amount, as well as through Endless Trials in the Noble Lombard campaign, Premium Supplies missions, and the Steel Hunter mission.
