    The 'No Way, Norway' film is the latest in GM's new 'Everybody In' campaign promoting an electric future.

    General Motors’ Super Bowl spot has launched days before the big game. The film by McCann Detroit/McCann Worldgroup, stars Will Ferrell who becomes understandably irate upon learning that the Norwegians are far outpacing Americans in terms of E.V per capita.

    In order to take down those pesky Norwegians or as Ferrell says “crush those lugers,” he hops in his new GM Ultium battery-powered electric SUV and heads out to enlist his friends. That would of course be Keenan Thompson dressed as a pirate for his daughter’s birthday and Awkwafina.

    The three head off to take down those damn Norwegians. Of course, Ferrell ends up in Sweden while his compatriots arrive in Finland. Both are notably not Norway. Though they are beautiful.

    The Norwegians have yet to comment.

    “I’m excited to be a part of GM’s commitment to EVs. I’ve been driving an EV since the mid-80s…well, actually it was a regular car with four AA batteries taped to the carburetor, but it felt like an EV! We’re coming for you, Norway,” said Ferrell.

    GM recently redesigned their logo to reflect its E.V future. The industry as a whole has made substantial shifts toward electric vehicles.

    “The big game is the perfect venue for the incomparable Will Ferrell to encourage us all to reconsider what we know about electric vehicles, and to invite ‘Everybody In’. We admire his passion for EVs and share Norway’s pursuit of an all-electric future,” said Deborah Wahl, global chief marketing officer, GM.
