WARC Releases its Ranking of the World’s Most Awarded Campaigns, Agencies and Brands

WARC has released its suite of global rankings for 2021 – the Creative 100, Effective 100, and Media 100 featuring the most awarded campaigns, agencies, and brands in the world.

Due to the effects of the pandemic, the release of the full Warc Rankings for 2021 was postponed from Q1, while the 2022 edition will return to a Q1 release.

Compiled by WARC, the international marketing intelligence company, these annual league tables are produced by combining the winners’ lists from global and regional awards shows – as determined by the WARC Rankings Advisory Board and a worldwide industry survey – based on WARC’s proprietary three-step methodology.

“If our role is to make the best work, connect brands seamlessly with audiences and produce outstanding results for our clients, then there’s no better endorsement than to top the WARC 100 rankings for creative, media, and effectiveness,” said Mark Read, CEO of WPP.

“It’s a wonderful tribute to our fantastic people, agencies and clients, and my thanks goes to them all.”

Representing the APAC region Mindshare Shanghai took the top spot in the Media 100, while Mindshare Ho Chi Minh City, rose from 15th place to third.

In the Effective 100,  Colenso BBDO Auckland and BMF Sydney were No. 2 and No. 3 in the creative agencies listing and Affinity Sydney took the spot in the digital/specialist agencies list, while Carat Auckland ranked third among media agencies.

“Naming The Invisible By Digital Birth Registration” by Telenor  and Ogilvy Islamabad, took the No. 3 spot this year for Media 100 Campaigns.

Globally, Ogilvy easily unseated BBDO Worldwide by a hefty margin to take the top spot as the highest-ranked Network in the Creative 100

“Topping the WARC Creative 100 speaks to the borderless creativity that unites Ogilvy’s global creative network, and what’s possible when creative thinking stretches across departments, geographies, and cultures to become a shared mission,” said Liz Taylor, Global Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy.

“What makes us most proud of this achievement is that it recognizes work delivered during a year where creativity helped us deliver through unimaginable circumstances.

“Moldy Whopper” from Burger King, working with DAVID Miami was far and away the highest-ranked campaign – beating out its own “Stevenage Challenge” campaign done with DAVID Madrid and DAVID Miami.
