    VMLY&R Malaysia MD Lisa Hezila to Step Down After 15 Years

    After 15 years, Lisa Hezila will be stepping down from her role as Group Managing Director for VMLY&R Malaysia to pursue personal interests.

    Hezila will leave the business at the end of March with Eric Ho taking the reins as the new MD.

    Hezila started at what was then Y&R in 2004, as General Manager of ParagonY&R, before being promoted to Managing Director, Y&R Malaysia in 2012. She has been instrumental in building the Malaysia business from the ground up.

    “Lisa has been a bundle of energy, enthusiasm and optimism for us over the decades. She helped put VMLY&R on the map and has been a trailblazer in the industry, having been part of many industry bodies,” said aid Tripti Lochan, co-CEO of VMLY&R Asia. “We will dearly miss her, and I do want to take this time to thank Lisa for putting her heart and soul into building an agency whose continued success is going to be her legacy.

    Incoming Managing Director, Eric Ho, moved to Malaysia from VMLY&R’s Regional Headquarters in Singapore. He has been in the communications industry for more than 10 years on both the agency and client-side, and brings with him a wealth of experience.

    Specialising in integrated communications, Eric previously led new business development for VML[Y&R] Government Practice for VML[Y&R] Singapore and Market Development for VML[Y&R] Malaysia.

    “VMLY&R is a fantastic company with a strong culture of creativity and business know-how that always delivers for clients,” said Hezila. “For the last 15 year,s the team has been my family – it has been a fantastic journey, and I am proud of what myself and the team has achieved during this time, working to build the Malaysia office into the robust digital-first agency it is today.”
