Global retailer UNIQLO will open a new global flagship store in Seoul’s Myeongdong district on May 22, the company announced. This is some five years after shuttering the outlet due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reports The Korea Times.
UNIQLO Myeongdong spans approximately 3,200 square meters across three floors, making it the largest UNIQLO location in South Korea. The store is situated in Myeongdong, a shopping district that draws visitors from South Korea and overseas.
The store carries the full LifeWear range for women, men, kids, and babies. Its exterior features a large-scale facade composed of white panels with a digital logo, with granite columns finishing the existing building’s linear structure with contemporary materials.
“We are delighted to open UNIQLO Myeongdong as a global flagship store that embodies the concept of LifeWear and the value it offers,” said Takao Kuwahara, Co-CEO, FRL Korea.
“Through the full lineup of LifeWear, superlative customer service, and brand experiences befitting a global flagship, we aim to make this store a new landmark in Myeongdong for Korean customers, of course, but also for the many people from around the world who visit the area.”
