Uniplan has announced two changes to their senior leadership team, promoting Gordon Wang from General Manager to Managing Director of their Beijing office and onboarding Hui Ping Pek as Chief Financial Officer in Shanghai.
Wang, who has more than 15 years of experience in the industry, will be driving the Beijing-based Uniplan business and work to develop a customer-centric approach.
Hui Ping joined the team on February 1st. She has more than 25 years of finance experience and has held both media and agency roles.
“I am looking forward to continuing working closely with Gordon in his new role”, said Geraldine Chew, CEO, Greater China.
“Gordon has driven significant business growth to our Beijing office since joining Uniplan three years ago. He constantly drives the team to deliver innovative client solutions, resulting in the successful execution of many memorable projects.”
Despite the pandemic that affected the brand experience industry worldwide, Wang helped to broaden the scope of Uniplan and develop hybrid and virtual projects for longstanding and new clients.
“I’m deeply honored to take on the new role. With our customer-centric approach, we have adapted quickly to help our clients with innovative ideas against the challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic has brought to our industry,” said Wang.
“Opportunities presented itself with technologies that we had already been using and accelerated new technologies that we were experimenting with. We are proud of the successes of our work yet humbled by the trust that our clients have given us.”
Hui Ping, who has worked in China, Singapore and Europe, studied at Nanyang Technological University before working for Fortune 500 companies like Coca-Cola and network agencies like Wunderman, Publicis and Dentsu Aegis.
“We are happy to have her on board”, said Christian Zimmerman, Uniplan’s owner.
