    Uber Eats Hong Kong Names Elisa Janiec New General Manager

    Elisa Janiec has been appointed as General Manager of Uber Eats for Hong Kong, tasked with strengthening partnerships with restaurants and delivery-partners on the platform and overseeing the next phase of the company’s growth.

    Janiec joined Uber in 2017 as Uber Eats’ Senior Operations manager in Brisbane, Australia, before going on to lead Uber Eats across Queensland & Northern Territory.

    In 2019, she took over as Head of New Zealand and Regional Australia, managing a portfolio of 30+ cities. She also spearheaded key initiatives in the region, including launching Uber Eats in 15+ cities, and piloting virtual restaurants and new use cases for pick-up services.

    Prior to Uber, Janiec was a lawyer, before moving into consulting at PwC, and at boutique firm, Era Innovation. She also spent time as a business and strategy analyst in the Australian Government. Janiec holds an MBA from the University of Queensland and graduated with First Class Honors in Bachelor of Law at Bond University.
