Twitter is launching its first-ever podcast series, dubbed “Character Count” which will focus on Twitter’s advertising business success stories.

There are already five produced episodes around 25 to 30 minutes long with more to come depending on how well received it is. The initial rollout will allow tweaks to the format should they be needed said Twitter.

The podcast, which will be hosted by Joe Wadlington, a marketer at Twitter, involves talking to people behind the scenes of some of Twitter’s advertising stories. These brands include the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Dropbox, and Simon & Schuster.

The conversation will revolve around effective ad campaigns they’ve run on the platform, offering others brands to see who is “doing it right on Twitter.”

Twitter joins Facebook, which also launched a podcast focusing entrepreneurship. And like Twitter’s upcoming podcasts, the underlying theme is to encourage more brands to advertise on the platform.

LinkedIn is also in the game having launched LinkedIn Live video broadcast service that allows people to stream real-time videos.

All three said they will not be running other ads within its programming – which makes sense since the Twitter and Facebook podcasts are essentially ads themselves.

New episodes will be released every two weeks on Apple PodcastsGoogle PodcastsSpotifyTuneIn and Stitcher.
