Lithuanian ad agency, New! has developed a print campaign for popular Lithuanian news portal 15Min.com’s smartphone app with the tagline, “Stay with news, even on holiday.”
The three different versions of the ad feature American presidential candidate, Donald Trump, German leader, Angela Merkel and Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
Other than the assumption that Mr. Trump will soon be in the same classification as Putin and Merkel as leader of a country, the imagery is quite fun –with each offered up displaying 15Min’s perception of their personalities in the ad.
The images all feature the character reaching for something: Merkel is portrayed quite romantically; Trump, actually, looks somewhat endearing while remaining smug, and Putin, well…he’s on it.
News portal 15min.com was launched in the fall of 2008 and is the second largest Lithuanian news website.
