The Ogilvy ANZ Network has appointed Toby Talbot as Chief Creative Officer, marking a return to Australia in January from Barcelona where Talbot is currently CCO at DDB-owned agency, 14.
Talbot, who brings over 25 years of global experience, and will be tasked with overseeing The Ogilvy Network’s creative offering across all four Ogilvy offices: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Auckland, including Designworks in New Zealand.
He previously held roles as CCO of DDB Sydney, which contributed to the agency being crowned as Australia ́s most awarded at Cannes and was also Group ECD of DDB New Zealand.
“Barcelona has been an incredible place to be, even through a pandemic,” said Talbot. “But to be given the chance to come home and to live and work across two of the most creative advertising markets in the world, is just incredible. I can´t wait to get started.”
Prior to moving to Spain last year, Talbot was CCO of Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand for three years, where he laid the groundwork for the agency to become a creative force in the region, which culminated in Saatchi winning two Gold One Show pencils and two D&AD Wood Pencils.
