Think HQ Appoints Fiona Nixon as Head of Strategy and Research

Most recently, she was Head of Strategy and Communications at Bank Australia.

Think HQ has appointed Fiona Nixon as Head of Strategy and Research, tasked with leading the agency’s strategy and research function with a focus on creating insight-driven integrated campaigns.

She brings nearly 30 years’ of industry experience at the junction of brand building, social and environmental sustainability, and strategy. She has senior leadership experience spanning the financial, consultancy, public and not-for-profit sectors where she has delivered business growth and established successful and innovative purpose-driven brands.

Most recently, Fiona was Head of Strategy and Communications at Bank Australia where she was responsible for the corporate strategy, corporate affairs, marketing and sustainability and was instrumental in building the bank’s public profile to being recognized as a thought leader in responsible business driving customer and asset growth.


Her previous experience was in consulting and in the Victorian Government public sector where she honed campaigning and government stakeholder engagement skills building and delivering communications strategies for major social policy initiatives in multicultural, women’s and community development portfolios.

She has a personal long-standing interest in human rights and has served on the Australia Committee of the highly regarded global advocacy organization, Human Rights Watch for the past five years helping to promote their work and raise their profile with new networks in Australia.
