The One Show Asia Showcase Recognizes Two Nepalese Campaigns

Nepalese advertising recently achieved a first as two campaigns from the small nation were recognized by The One Show Asia. #Basichumanity and #TogetherAhead were chosen out of more than 2,600 submissions.

The awards show reviewed work from 59 cities in 17 countries across the Asia Pacific region. Submissions were curated by a group of 62 influential creative leaders from 29 countries and regions around the world.

“I am immensely happy to see Nepal shining at One Show Asia, we should keep these spirits of creating hallmarks, so our industry becomes as par to other leading ad fraternity of the world,” said Som Prasad Dhital, President of Advertising Association of Nepal.


 

Anil Shah, the CEO of Nabil Bank was an instrumental factor in the development of the #TogetherAhead campaign.

“Truly amazing, congratulations to the entire Team,” said Shah.

“I am humbled to be part of this journey of making Nepal proud and showcasing our creative talents, in the highest international forum. #TogetherAhead campaign was done for Nabil Bank through which a very important message was delivered.”

#TogetherAhead was created by CREO Communications for Nabil Bank to give a message of solidarity during the Covid times.


 

“Congratulations to the team, I believe these accolades will not only create a space for Nepalese advertising globally but at home, it will also work as a catalyst for both clients and agencies to try new ideas and innovative campaigns,” said Rabindra Kumar Rijal, the past president of Advertising Association of Nepal.

Outreach Nepal has been consistently working towards enhancing the image of Nepalese advertising both in Nepal and abroad. The #Basichumanity campaign was one of the most successful campaigns created during the Covid pandemic.

The campaign was adopted in six countries in eight languages and also bagged ECI awards in Shanghai in December 2020.

“This could be a game-changer to change the perception about Nepal’s advertising and creative industry to the global fraternity,” said Ujaya Shakya, Founder Managing Director, Outreach Nepal.
