The Monkeys has promoted Creative Director Barbara Humphries to Executive Creative Director of The Monkeys Sydney.
Humphries has created award-winning campaigns for brands including IKEA, Coca-Cola, Nike, UN Women Australia, Nestle, Qantas, Berlei, NRMA Insurance and MLA. During her time at The Monkeys, she has helped the agency win several awards including her MLA ‘You Never Lamb Alone’ diversity ad as the Top Aussie Ads of the past 60 years.
“Barb is a wonderful person and an irresistible creative force,” said The Monkeys Co-founder & Group Chief Creative Officer, Scott Nowell.
“She’s already had a huge part in shaping the output of The Monkeys and will be an even bigger part of it in the future. This is a proud moment for her and for us.”
The Monkeys Chief Creative Officer, Tara Ford, added: “Barb cares deeply about the work and always gives it her all. She’s a natural mentor and inspires those around her to be better and to push themselves. She’s going to be spectacular in this role.”
Prior to The Monkeys, Humphries worked at Wieden+Kennedy London and Publicis Mojo Melbourne.
Commenting on her new role, Humphries says: “To have the opportunity to continue to work with people I love, creating meaningful and memorable work for some of Australia’s leading brands, alongside some of the most talented, smart and humble leaders in the industry, is a real privilege.
“I’m looking forward to helping Tara and Scott grow the creative standard of the agency into the future.”
