Echoing the popular classic American sitcom, The Partridge Family, printing company Brother USA has launched a new campaign called… you guessed it: The Cartridge Family.
As the brand describes it: “a new web series that follows the team’s antics as they try to add a little color to their workday.” They even named the characters after CMYK. Almost: Celia, Marcus, Yelena, and Barbara.
Actually, as amusing as the five spots are it actually has little if any feel of the 70s TV show other then the brand’s play on the familiar name.
“We were inspired by the current trend on social media of sharing relatable commentary on workplace pain points and wanted to bring this to life through a retro, yet modern spin on the workplace sitcom,” said Eric Dahl, senior director of product marketing at Brother.
The campaign also appears on TikTok:
@karaleemo With the right team (I’m looking at you, @Ceara OSullivan!) and the real stuff (aka Brother Genuine ink and toner), miracles can happen! It should be noted the Simpsons also had an episode called “The Cartridge Family” in season nine of the long-running comedy series which features Homer purchasing a gun to protect the family.
