Provocative Stop Smoking Campaign in Thailand Highlights the Harm to Children

The Thai Health Promotion Foundation has launched a new PSA called “School” aimed at educating smokers that there is no safe distance for second-hand smoke.

Created by Alpha 245, the 30-second spot shows a man stepping away for a smoke while four schoolchildren sitting on a bench feel the effects of his smoke – in a rather unusual way. The eery aspect of the children mimicking smoking is quite effective.

“We decided to make this film to protect non-smoker by educating every smoker that even if you already step away from people and community but your smoke still harm people around the community and if you don’t want to harm anyone the best solution is to stop smoking for good.”
