The global account will be led out of the Singapore office.
Standard Chartered has appointed Publicis Groupe as its global creative agency handling creative, digital, and production services.
The incumbent TBWA held the account previously for 18 years and follows a multi-market review started earlier this year led by R3.
“Following a rigorous pitch process, we have made the decision to award the mandate to Publicis Groupe,” said Claire Dixon, Group Head, Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing at Standard Chartered Bank, in a statement.
“We are confident that they will be the right partner to take our narrative to the next level, by pushing our creative and digital boundaries.”
She went on to say that Standard Chartered is “thankful to TBWA for their support during the past 18 years,” in bringing the “brand to where it is today.”
The win comes after Publicis earlier this week took home the lion’s share of Mondelez’s business globally.
“It’s a privilege to be shaping a global brand of this stature and ambition out of Singapore and I could not be prouder of the team behind this win – they are absolute champions,” said Amrita Randhawa, CEO of Publicis Groupe Singapore and Southeast Asia.
“We look forward to bringing the best of Publicis Groupe to bear on the business.”
