Though the movie doesn’t open in Chinese theaters until September 8th, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming has made up for the long wait with some very cool posters for the market in China.
Playing on Peter Parker’s youth, the promotional print campaign features images such as Spidey taking a selfie at Shanghai’s Oriental Pearl Tower, riding a horse (a nod to Mongolia?) and relaxing in hammock above the Great Wall of China.
None of what you see will actually appear in the film, but they perfectly capture the playful coming-of-age character of the web-slinger with a targeted cultural appeal to the massive market of Chinese viewers.
