Special New Zealand Adds to Creative Team With Steve Hansen and Gareth Rice

Hansen spent the past eight years working at Clemenger Wellington.

Special has added to its creative team with the appointments of Steve Hansen as Creative Director, and Gareth Rice tapped as Associate Creative Director

Hansen spent the past eight years at Clemenger Wellington, creating high-profile and iconic campaigns such as Unite Against COVID-19, The Conscious Crossing for KiwiRail & TrackSAFE, Belted Survivors and Hello for Waka Kotahi, and Look Right, Look Left for the Hawkes Bay Regional Council, to name but a few.

Rice joins from DDB Aotearoa, having previously worked at global agencies, including stints at W&K Amsterdam, BETC, and Mother London. He has worked onbrands from McDonald’s, Coca Cola and Bacardi, creating Black Laundry for Steinlager and Tourism New Zealand’s latest campaign, ‘If You Seek.’
