Dentsu Hong Kong announced the promotion of Simone Tam to the role of CEO, Dentsu Hong Kong, reporting to Cheuk Chiang, CEO, Greater North, Dentsu Asia Pacific. She will be responsible for leading the network’s Creative, Media, and CXM Service Delivery Lines.
In her new role, Tam will be responsible for driving the network’s transformation agenda and building greater connection for clients with the full suite of Dentsu’s service offerings, while strengthening the business operational rigor under its simplified model.
“Simone is an entrepreneurial leader with a remarkable track record in delivering growth. She joined the Dentsu network through mcgarrybowen in 2015, where she led both our Hong Kong and Shanghai offices. Under her leadership, the business went through transformational success, winning highly coveted awards, achieving great fame and industry-wide recognition,” said Cheuk Chiang.
“Her growth mindset, strong client focus and industry know-how make her the ideal leader for Dentsu Hong Kong. We could not have asked for a more experienced chief and I am confident that Simone will continue to excel and take the group from strength to strength.”
Tam has led agencies across the region and has worked in the U.S, China and Hong Kong. Prior to joining Dentsu, she led DDB Hong Kong and Guangzhou for five years as the group CEO and was recognized as one of the Top Five Agency Heads by Campaign Asia-Pacific in 2012 and 2013.
