Shah Rukh Khan Playfully Evades the Paparazzi in ‘Stay Ahead’ Campaign from Castrol


Highlighting a new range of products within the Castrol EDGE line, Castrol India Limited has launched a new campaign titled “Stay Ahead,” featuring Bollywood superstar and brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan.

The campaign film, which premiered during the India vs Pakistan T20 match, shows Khan “staying ahead’ of an aggressive group of paparazzi photographers by playfully ditching them as they attempted to keep up on their motorbikes.

They eventually catch up to him, by chance.


“We had to do something magical on Castrol. With SRK on board, we wanted to creatively maximise his potential,” said Sukesh Nayak, CCO Ogilvy India.

“Then the question we asked ourselves was ‘Why does SRK need on demand performance?’ ‘Stay Ahead’ was born. This isn’t just a TVC, it’s a full-blown campaign replete with fun teasers, first ever SRK image gallery, roller coaster chases and a tongue in cheek humour that’s sure to keep consumers engaged.”
