Scoot Adds Koh Samui and Sibu to Six Destinations on New Embraer E190-E2

Scoot’s six destinations for the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft include two new destinations – Koh Samui, Thailand, and Sibu, Malaysia.

Scoot unveiled plans to expand its network in Southeast Asia using new Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, unveiled six Southeast Asian destinations Embraer E190-E2 aircraft will fly to.

Scoot’s six destinations for the Embraer E190-E2 aircraft include two new destinations – Koh Samui, Thailand, and Sibu, Malaysia.

With Koh Samui and Sibu, Scoot’s network will increase to 69 destinations, adding to the airline’s connectivity in the region while reinforcing Singapore’s position as a regional hub.


 

Scoot Destinations for Embraer E190-E2

Thailand:

  • Koh Samui
  • Hat Yai
  • Krabi

Malaysia:

  • Sibu
  • Kuantan
  • Miri

Services on the E190-E2 aircraft are scheduled to begin in May 2024  after Scoot receives delivery of the first of nine E190-E2s from Embraer’s manufacturing facility in Brazil.

By adding these aircraft, Scoot aims to strengthen Singapore Airlines Group’s reach across Southeast Asia. The E190-E2 will allow Scoot to provide direct connections between Singapore and non-metro cities in the region.

“We are delighted to unveil the first six destinations to be helmed by our new Embraer E190-E2s to cities in Malaysia and Thailand, including two exciting new additions to our network,” Leslie Thng, Scoot’s Chief Executive Officer said in a release.

“This marks a new chapter of growth for Scoot and the SIA Group, and a significant step in strengthening our presence and connectivity in the region.”
