Following weeks of rumors and leaks, Samsung and HTC have finally made official the launching of new phones available exclusively in the China market.
Samsung will offer the Galaxy A9 which has a 6-inch Super AMOLED screen and a larger 4,000 mAh battery. The A9 also comes with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, along with an 8-megapixel one on the front. Inside is an octa-core Snapdragon processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage which is expandable to 128GB). Samsung has as yet announced no official pricing.
Unlike the Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, and A7, which each have a thickness of 7.3mm, the A9 comes in at a thicker size of 7.4mm.
HTC will launch the 5.5-inch One X9 with full HD screen, an octa-core MediaTek processor and 3GB of RAM that will retail for $370 with 32GB of storage, a 3,000 mAh battery and a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization.
Both phones are expected to stay exclusive to China.
Neither HTC or Samsung has released any information about US or Europe availability.
