Samsung Expands ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Collaboration With New Spot

Samsung Electronics is premiering the next chapter of its collaboration with Sony Pictures’ “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” Directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker, Marvel alum, and production designer Kasra Farahani, the two-minute film shows Spider-Man fighting crime and putting his phone through the wear and tear of superhero life. In the spot, the Fabricator creates a number of devices for Spider-Man, “built to withstand the pace and unpredictability of life behind the mask,” said Samsung in a release.

The teaser hints at what’s to come in the next chapter for Samsung Galaxy, while Ned Leeds uses Spidey Tracker to stay on Spider-Man’s trail.

Set in Peter Parker’s apartment, the new brand spot tells an original story that blends product innovation with clips from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, giving fans a glimpse of the film ahead of its July 31 theatrical release.

The creative rollout teases a larger story that will continue during Galaxy Unpacked on July 22.

Earlier this summer, Jacob Batalon, as Ned Leeds, helped unveil Spidey Tracker, an interactive fan experience powered by Samsung Galaxy. Batalon is joining #TeamGalaxy as the brand’s newest ambassador.

“The Galaxy Z Fold is a perfect match for Ned and the creation of the Spidey Tracker,” said Batalon.

“Getting to use Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Watch on set was a cool experience and I’m excited to officially join Team Galaxy as a natural extension beyond the movie.”
