Durex India has tapped Bollywood heartthrob Ranveer Singh in a well-played prank campaign announcing that the famed condom brand was coming out with its own line of denim jeans.
Last week they released a teaser with Singh saying that “Durex is launching Jeans” and that he would be the first one to wear them.
To make the whole thing even more convincing, Durex released a Twitter post from Singh with an image made up to look like a jeans ad –complete with a #DurexJeans hashtag and a tagline: “Designed for the Passionate.”

Turns out that the new product from Durex is not actually denim jeans, but just condoms called “Durex Jeans” –a play on the fact that it fits comfortably in your pocket.
Nicely played Durex. Nicely played.
In the five days since the ad was released it’s already racked up over 7 million views on YouTube.
This is not the first time Ranveer Singh has done an ad with Durex commercial. A few years back he was featured in a video called ‘Do the Rex’ where he talks about safe and enjoyable intercourse.
As usual with Durex ads, it’s a good time.
