As part of this year’s ANDY Awards, we’re speaking with jurors from the creative industry about where they see creativity heading, what first drew them to the field, and more.
Next up is Raj Kamble, Founder of Famous Innovations.
With over 25 years of global experience in advertising, Raj has worked across New York, London, and Mumbai, leaving his mark on iconic brands like Google, Stella Artois, Burger King, and Unilever.
When asked what first drew him to the industry, Raj said: “I have always been a fan of connecting unexpected dots. Where the silliest idea can become the most innovative solution.”
Where do you think creativity is headed?
I think it’s the most exciting time to be a creative person right now. Creativity has truly taken three-dimensional form, far beyond making ads. We’re playing with technology, experiences, entertainment and culture, and all the lines are blurred.
We are no longer selling products; we are telling stories, shaping behaviors, and making brands a meaningful part of people’s lives. Of course, the challenge is to stay human and keep our fundamentals intact in this fragmented world, and that’s what excites me the most.
What drew you to the industry? And what keeps you here now?
I have always been a fan of connecting unexpected dots. Where the silliest idea can become the most innovative solution. Advertising gave me the perfect playground to do that every day.
The industry is never static; it forces you to adapt, evolve, and push boundaries.
What keeps me here is the thrill of reinvention. The industry is never static; it forces you to adapt, evolve, and push boundaries. When I see an idea change perceptions, start conversations, or make a real impact, I know I’m in the right place. I also believe this is the one industry that attracts the most interesting, funny and just nice people. They make me look forward to wake up and come to work every day.
Bravery. What comes to mind when you think of brave work?
Brave to me equals ‘never done before.’ In the world of trends, where we are all being forced into sameness, it takes guts to do something that makes you uncomfortable. It’s the idea that people either love or hate—there is no in-between.

The best campaigns don’t play it safe; they take a stand, challenge norms, and break the clutter. For me, bravery in advertising means asking, “What if this fails?”—and doing it anyway because you believe in the idea. It’s about telling stories that need to be told, even when they’re not the easiest to tell.
Innovative work sets new heights. Can you describe the feeling when you see work like this?
‘Sh*t, I wish I did that!’ I hate myself that day, I can’t sleep all night. It’s the ultimate mix of admiration and jealousy—that’s how I know it’s great.
