Publicis Sapient, the digital transformation hub of Publicis Groupe, has been named a Leader in the 2019 IDC MarketScape for Worldwide Digital Strategy Consulting – the first time it has been identified as a leader in the field by an industry analyst firm. Publicis Sapient was among 11 companies evaluated, with client input forming a key part of the assessment.
Clients rated Publicis Sapient highly in six areas: transferring knowledge and skills to clients’ employees; functional-specific digital strategy capabilities; supporting capabilities in technology; delivering value-creating innovation; differentiation from its competitors; and client willingness to recommend the vendor to any company. The company was also noted for its digital-focused business strategy capabilities, quality of digital strategy professionals, and client willingness to recommend Publicis Sapient to industry peers.
IDC’s report said Publicis Sapient had “no obvious areas of necessary improvement, according to clients”.
“Worldwide, digital strategy consulting demand continues to mature, with enterprises moving on from their initial focus on creating the capabilities for experimentation to happen to building the enterprise-wide structures and the culture to allow innovation to happen at scale — continuously and right across the organization,” said Douglas Hayward, research director, IDC.
“This recognition is a tremendous achievement and it is pleasing that IDC noted the differentiated approach we bring to digital business transformation,” said Nigel Vaz, CEO of Publicis Sapient. “We pride ourselves on being one of the few companies that work at the intersection of strategy, design, delivery, technology, and culture to help clients solve complex problems and move from vision to execution with speed.”
“Our unique approach is validated by the high marks we received in delivering value-creating innovation together with having strong function-specific and technology capabilities that enable digital strategies for clients,” said Sarah Adam-Gedge, managing director at Publicis Sapient Australia. “It is gratifying that IDC also highlighted our ability to transfer knowledge and skills to clients’ employees – an area where very few providers had strong ratings. As clients continue to build their own in-house capabilities, we think this makes Publicis Sapient stand out from the rest.”
Leadership in this category represents the key capabilities that service providers need to help clients address both their growth agenda (increase revenue, strengthen cash flow and build the organization’s brand) and cost agenda (drive efficiency, increase profitability and reduce costs) as they advance their digital journeys.
IDC assessed 11 vendors worldwide based on success in providing world-leading digital strategy consulting services for clients both during the short and long terms, with potential key measures for success divided into two primary categories: capabilities and strategies.
The recognition by IDC follows Publicis Sapient being named a Leader in The Forrester Wave: Global Digital Business Transformation Accelerators, Q1 2019 earlier this year.
