Publicis Groupe Taps Tomoko Akizawa as Managing Director of MSL Japan

Publicis Groupe has appointed Tomoko Akizawa as Managing Director of MSL Japan, and Business Director of Publicis Groupe Japan. She will be reporting directly to Gareth Mulryan, CEO of Publicis Groupe Japan, and Margaret Key, CEO MSL Asia, AMA, Akizawa is tasked with further developing and deepening MSL’s presence in Japan.

Akizawa has more than two decades of experience in communications. Prior to MSL, she spent nearly a decade at Edelman Japan in various roles including Director of Technology and Digital practices and most recently, as Executive Vice President and Client Growth Leader.

“Tomoko’s senior appointment will enable us to offer a stronger suite of communications services to our clients via the Publicis Groupe’s service offering of Power of One,” said Gareth Mulryan, CEO of Publicis Groupe Japan.

MSL’s network in the Asia Pacific currently includes 25 offices in China, Singapore, India, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand, overseen by Margaret Key, CEO, APAC & AMA, MSL.
