Pokemon Super Bowl Commercial – Why Wait? See it Now

Pokémon is celebrating its 20 year anniversary, big time. The famed Nintendo franchise just posted the full 70-second version of a live-action commercial (which is estimated to have cost them upwards of $10 million) that will air during the Super Bowl on February 7th.

The spot, which borrows directly from the Nike and Adidas inspirational, you can do anything you set your mind to, troep was made by Omelet, a Los Angeles-based creative agency.

“For 20 years, the Pokémon world has inspired fans to train hard and have fun,” said J.C. Smith, senior director of Consumer Marketing at The Pokémon Company International.


 

“This ad is reflective of that passion, and I can’t think of a bigger stage to share this story than the Super Bowl.”

A slew of upcoming products are on the way including a re-release of Pokémon amiibo, such as Jigglypuff and Charizard, to select retailers on February 27.

Also on tap is Nendoroids of the game’s classic starters’ evolutions and protagonist, clothing, new trading cards, mythical Pokémon distribution, special Pokémon Red and PokémonBlue 3DS bundles, and the release of Pokémon Go and Pokken Tournament.


 

The company will celebrate also celebrate its two decades with a 3DS Virtual Console relaunch of the original Game Boy games, Red, Blue and Yellow.
