Pocari Sweat, the isotonic sports beverage from Japan, has partnered with Singapore Athletics (SA). The announcement was made at a joint press conference ahead of the 81st Singapore Open Track and Field Championships.
Pocari Sweat has partnered with major sports events in the region, including the 2018 Asian Games, and most recently announcing the Gold Tier Sponsorship for the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines.
Under the partnership, Pocari Sweat will provide hydration support for SA official and youth events, and organize workshops to educate the SA community on proper hydration practices.
“At Pocari Sweat, we believe in creating an impact that will help build a long-lasting benefit to the health of a community, and hence we are pleased to partner with Singapore Athletics,” said Ms. Puspita Winawati, Country Manager of Pocari Sweat Singapore. “We hope that we are able to motivate Singapore’s local athletic athletes and support their journey towards some of their major competitions.”
“With the upcoming SEA Games this year, SA athletes are able to maintain the same consistent hydration programme at home, and abroad, with Pocari Sweat, maximizing their true potential as an athlete,” added Winawati.
“We are pleased to have Pocari Sweat come on board and support our athletes,” said Mr. Tang Weng Fei, President of Singapore Athletics. “With the knowledge Pocari Sweat is able to bring to SA, I am confident that we can continue building a solid athletic foundation in Singapore and yield further high-performing results for Singapore.”
