Ozzy Osbourne Joins the Corporate World, and Other 2023 Super Bowl Ad Teasers

The big game is being played out by the ad world and the brands they work with to come up with something resonant with fans.

It’s that time of year again for the big game. Yeah, there is that football thing going on, too, but for some, the big game is being played out by the ad world and the brands they work with to come up with something creative and resonant to match the Super Bowl’s high-price tag for ad spots.

Several brands have already released “teasers” for their ads – some quite a few.

It’s just two more weeks until the big ad game kicks off in Glendale, Arizona, on Feb. 12th. For those of us on this side of the world, it will be the 13th – Super Bowl Monday. Cheers.

Ozzy the Corporate Rock Star

The famous rocker adds his office worker to his resume in a spot for workforce management software company Workday.

His reputation proceeds him. “Who’s the new guy?” a man whispers from behind. “I don’t know, but he’s supposed to be some kind of rock star.” Ozzy offers either of them a piercing. Should be interesting to see where this one goes on game day.

Dave Grohl Learns Something New

Former Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters lead singer is repping Crown Royal for the Super Bowl. In his teaser, he reads a piece of paper with a list of random items including Peanut butter, paint rollers, trash bags, egg cartons, and Hawaiian pizza.

How these all tie together, we will have to wait and see.

Megha Trainor can’t escape Pringles

Singer-songwriter Megha Trainor will do a Super Bowl spot for Pringles. In the 15-second teaser, we see her getting her hand stuck in a can of Pringles. Haven’t we all been there at one time?

Will it be a stylish new kind of glove? Will it be a trendy new percussion instrument? Will we have to wait and see? Yes.

Place your bets: Coors Light or Miller Lite?

This marks Molson Coors’ first Super Bowl spot in 30 years says the teaser. In partnership with betting platform DraftKings, the beer brand invites viewers to wager on “who wins the big game commercial in the end? Coors Light or Miller Lite?

We bet that beer in general will win. Though the aforementioned Crown Royal might better quench some palettes.

Breaking Bad returns

The “cooks” from Breaking Bad, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman are back in a spot for PopCorners. In the teaser, fans relive the scene where the RV meth lab is flooded and won’t start.

It’s safe to say viewers can look forward to more unfriendly interactions that we all loved in the hit show.

Jack Harlow & Doritos Love Triangle

Doritos released the teaser two weeks ago on their YouTube channel with no comment.

In the pre-game spot, battling paparazzi, Harlow jumps into the back of a limousine. As he pulls out a bag of Doritos he is asked by a photographer: “Is it true about the love triangle?”

Harlow says:” Maybe.” We are going out on a limb here and assuming this ad will have something to do with the shape of the product.

Gary Clark Jr and Workday Rock Stars

According to Workday, rock stars are everywhere in the corporate world. You just have to know where to look.

Starring Gary Clark Jr. the only insight the tease gives us is that on Super Bowl day the “corporate world will be rocked.”

Who is in the Downy Super Bowl Ad?

According to the brand, their possible celebrity endorser “is not convinced that Downy Unstopables can make your clothes fresh.”

In the 30-second teaser, he’s covered his face with a hoodie and he’s going to sniff it until he believes it…even if it takes until Super Bowl Sunday.

Downly has released several clips for this campaign.
