Ogilvy Malaysia Appoints Eddy Nazarullah as Creative Director

Ogilvy Malaysia has appointed Eddy Nazarullah Creative Director reporting to Adrian Miller, Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy Malaysia. Nazarullah is tasked with overseeing the agency’s entire Nestle business which includes Milo, Nestlé Omega Plus, Nestlé Health Science and Wyeth Nutrition working alongside Creative Directors Jaz Lee and Shariar Ghafar.

“This year Ogilvy Malaysia has a simple ambition, albeit a big one; to win with work by putting ideas at the centre of everything we do,” said Miller.

“As trite as this sounds, it’s a sentiment that all too often gets lost in our business. Eddy has a digital-first, nuanced way of thinking that coupled with local insights, will be pivotal in driving our vision to bring back the power of creative ideas and an audience mindset to Malaysia.”

Nazarullah began his career at Leo Burnett Kuala Lumpur in 2010 as a copywriter. After winning his first professional creative award as an intern in 2010, he was entrusted to handle brands such as Samsung, Proton, and Hotlink. Two years later, he joined MullenLowe Malaysia and was promoted to be a Creative Group Head to lead the Creative Solutions team.

He was later enrolled into MullenLowe’s Institute in New York and trained to be a ‘hyper-bundled creative’ to develop creative solutions for Malaysian brands such as Telekom Malaysia, FrogAsia, and 100 Plus.

“Adrian is a transformative creative leader who is unparalleled in his effectiveness. He has returned home to Malaysia guns a blazing ready to set the industry on fire,” said Nizwani Shahar Chief Executive, Malaysia.

“Together with his creative leads, Adrian will be pivotal in driving strong branded experiences for our clients. I look forward to having Eddy onboard to continue to fuel the very best in creative ideas with our senior team. This is aligned with our larger creative strategy to fortify creative firepower across Ogilvy Malaysia and Singapore.”
