With the rapid growth of business sweeping across Nepal, KAYMU, the country’s leading e-commerce platform, broke new ground with the introduction of Nepal’s first Black Friday last November.
In comparison to other countries, Nepal is still working to establish a stronghold in the e-commerce platform.
KAYMU collaborated with agency partner, Outreach Nepal to produce and launch a campaign introducing the concept of Black Friday & it’s offerings. Nepal’s leading daily, The Himalayan Times came forward to partner to build traction with traditional media.
“Black Friday was just a foreign concept for most Nepalese customers and the only knowledge they had attained was from their visits abroad, relatives based in foreign countries or social media,” said Ujaya Shakya, Outreach Nepal managing director. “Very few had actually experienced the Black Friday Mayhem.”
“We worked very closely with our seller base, negotiating the best possible deals for customers and also preparing sellers for the biggest sale of the year,” said Rajeev Amatya, Managing Director of KAYMU Nepal.
