Rap Viet, the incredibly popular Vietnamese rap competition recently wrapped up their smash-hit first season with De Choat taking home first place and the $20,000 grand prize.

De Choat, whose real name is Chau Hai Minh, is a part of the rap group Underground and a tattoo artist. He received 196,949 votes and beat out second-place G.Ducky.

The Rap Viet panel was made up of megastars Karik, Binz, Suboi and Wowy who selected 8 contestants for 16 performances in the final rounds.

Life is So Strange is one of his biggest hits.
