Global lifestyle brand MINISO has opened new locations in its MINISO LAND and MINISO FRIENDS store formats across Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and mainland China in early 2026.
The two formats, which integrate IP-themed experiences within a retail environment, have been developed as part of an evolving store format portfolio since 2024. Both are larger in scale than the brand’s standard stores, positioned in high-profile commercial locations, and designed to operate as city-level landmarks. The added space is intended to accommodate a broader range of IP and category experiences.

Vietnam: MINISO FRIENDS debuts as the brand marks 10 years in the market
MINISO first entered Vietnam in 2016 and has since opened stores nationwide. On April 25, to mark its 10th anniversary in the market, the brand opened the country’s first MINISO FRIENDS location in Ho Chi Minh City. The company describes it as MINISO’s most advanced store format in Vietnam, offering IP-driven retail experiences.
Singapore: MINISO FRIENDS opens at VivoCity alongside a YOYO exhibition
Also on April 25, the first MINISO FRIENDS store in Singapore opened at VivoCity, described as Singapore’s largest shopping mall, located within the city’s key tourist district. The store carries over 3,200 SKUs across collectibles, home, lifestyle, beauty, and gifting categories.
Its IP product range includes a Singapore-exclusive Disney Mickey collection featuring a Merlion design, the Chiikawa Sakura series, and a new Star Wars collaboration collection.
Alongside the store opening, MINISO’s proprietary IP character YOYO is featured in a debut overseas exhibition — “YOYO’s Singapore Travel Diary” — running throughout VivoCity from April 18 to May 13. The exhibition includes 13 large-scale installations and incorporates local Singapore elements and a travel diary theme.
“Beyond Vietnam and Singapore, MINISO continued to advance its Asian expansion across the region, leveraging its differentiated store formats to address varying consumer and retail dynamics,” the brand said in a statement.
