Amazon has tapped actor Michael B. Jordan to play the role of Alexa in a funny one-minute ad which will air at this year’s Superbowl. In the spot, a female Amazon employee has become quite pleased with Jordan’s role in her everyday life, from answering basic queries to joining her for a warm bath to turning on the lawn sprinklers – which sets up the sexually-laced comment by the woman’s comedically concerned husband that things are “getting way to wet around here.”
The husband plays a great comedic counterpart to the woman’s character as Jordan’s Alexa character becomes a more and more intimate part of his wife’s life. Check it out.
Jordan told USA Today, “You just have so many memorable Super Bowl commercials going back over the years…being a part of (one), it’s a bucket list type thing to check off, you know? Like, ‘OK, cool, I was part of a Super Bowl moment.’ … It’s pretty cool to be a part of that.”

Back in 2018 Amazon tapped celebrities to impersonate Alexa in a Super Bowl ad featuring Gordon Ramsay, Rebel Wilson, Cardi B, and Anthony Hopkins when the device “lost” its voice.
