Meta has promoted Michelle Klein to vice president of global business marketing replacing Mark D’Arcy who left the company in August.
Klein has been with Meta for more than seven years, joining the company in 2014 as head of global marketing, agency/partners. She later became senior marketing director, North America and global in January 2015, and global VP, customer, and business marketing in 2019. Klein has been handling D’Arcy’s duties on an interim basis since he left.
Prior to Meta she held global marketing roles with Diageo.
In a Facebook post, Klein wrote:
“In my seven years at Meta, I’ve been so inspired by the creativity, growth, and innovation the Global Business Marketing team drives. We’re redefining the role of marketing to make real change in the world, which includes unlocking social and economic opportunity and leveling the playing field for everyone across our platforms. There is so much more work to be done as we pioneer the next frontier of opportunity, and I couldn’t be more energized to get started. Thanks to everyone for your support and I look forward to this next chapter.
