As an International Partner of the Masters Tournament, Delta Air Lines will be running TV spots in Korea and Japan throughout the tournament which kicks off tomorrow at the Augusta National Golf Club, in the U.S.
A 30-second video featuring the brand’s theme ‘Better’ will be broadcast on the official Masters live broadcast on Japan’s BS-TBS and TBS Terrestrial and Korea’s SBS Golf TV. In addition, a banner ad on the TBS Masters website and social media campaigns (across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and South Korean web portal, Naver) are scheduled to run.
The airline said that the ‘Better’ campaign “demonstrates people’s relentless spirit for constantly seeking progress.” It culminates with Delta’s sponsored golfer, Tony Finau, playing at the tournament.
“We are pleased to continue the partnership with this iconic global tournament held in Augusta, Georgia, an hour’s flight from Delta’s largest hub, Atlanta Airport,” said Glady Tung, General Manager of Marketing, Asia Pacific at Delta Air Lines. “As the Masters attracts high attention in Korea and Japan, we run the advertising campaign to highlight Delta’s commitment in continuously striving to offer a better travel experience for customers.”
Ross Taylor, creative director of Iris Worldwide, also commented on the project. adding: “Delta have always delivered impeccable service because they commit to a continual journey to reach the impossible…perfection. The campaign aims to tap into this universal philosophy of ‘better’ which resonates with the sporting mindset and ambitious go-getters.”
Delta-sponsored golfer, Patrick Cantlay, will also participate in the tournament, featuring Delta logos on his attire.
The 2023 Masters Tournament is scheduled for April 6 – 9.
