Landor & Fitch Appoints APAC MD and SE Asia GM

Landor & Fitch has announced key creative and leadership positions throughout Asia to foster the company’s growing footprint in Southeast Asia and across the wider region.

Janice Siu has been appointed as managing director of APAC growth based in Singapore. Previously, she was based in Hong Kong and has held roles including executive director of Greater China at Landor, and business director at Fitch from 2017 to 2020.

Thomas Sutton has been appointed as general manager of Southeast Asia and will be based in Jakarta. Prior to this, he was Landor’s country director of Indonesia where we held the position for five years, from 2014 to 2020.

Landor & Fitch said that Siu’s placement in Singapore and Sutton’s in Jakarta forms a broader growth strategy for Landor & Fitch as the company bolsters its APAC team with talented and experienced leaders in key markets.

The company added that Southeast Asia has been its significant growth market, with recent client wins including global insurance company, Prudential. In Singapore, Landor & Fitch pioneered the design of the country’s first 5G powered, 24/7 unmanned store for leading telco, Singtel. The group was also responsible for the design of Microsoft’s immersive technology-led Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore.

According to the agency, the new appointments will significantly bolster the group’s growing offering in response to increasing demand for data-driven brand strategy and related tools. To lead its insights and analytics team, Landor & Fitch has appointed UK-based Taj Samson as the regional insights and analytics director.

Samson will be charged with integrating insights and analytics across Landor & Fitch’s breadth of expertise in brand experience, performance and expression. According to her LinkedIn profile, she joined Landor as director in 2019. Prior to this, she has held several leadership roles across various agencies such as MindMover, Arena and Mediacom.

Finally, to better support growing client demand for transformative brand experiences, Apolline Picot has been appointed as creative director of experience design. Picot is a consumer experience specialist with deep foundations in design development, conceptualisation and implementation. Picot has worked across a multidisciplinary group of clients, including Microsoft, Sephora and Standard Chartered among others, as seen on her personal portfolio.

“The breadth of our offerings in Southeast Asia continues to develop exponentially and these new appointments build on the extraordinary group of creative and design specialists that we boast across the region,” said Jonathan Cummings, APAC president at Landor & Fitch based in Hong Kong
