KFC Delivers Food to a Flooded Village in The Philippines

KFC has launched a new campaign created by Ogilvy Philippines featuring 69-year-old Nanay Cora, who lives in the flooded Filipino village of Artex Malabon. The town, which is perhaps far to liberally referred to as the “Venice of the Philippines”, has been submerged in floodwater since the early 1990s.

“We’ve gotten used to life in the water,” said Bascon in the video. “But when you’re getting old, it becomes harder to move around. The good thing here is there’s no traffic.”

KFC learned of Bascon’s 69th birthday through social media and the company wanted to do something nice for her –especially since she hadn’t celebrated her birthday for more than 60 years.
