Kapiti Ice Cream’s latest campaign is a kaleidoscopic ride through a surreal universe. The brand’s 30-second spot directed by Anita Fontaine at Flying Fish highlights the magic of just one bite.
The film transports viewers from untouched New Zealand coastlines pierced by chocolatey driftwood to enchanted forests paved in magical fruits, up piercing peaks of Willy Wonka mountains all in under half a minute. It’s some pretty good ice-cream. And all in all a fun set up for the tagline, “Let the adventure begin.” We get it, that’s some adventurous ice-cream.
“My goal was to elevate the classic ice-cream commercial category by creating an adventure filled with beauty and surprise. In a world where so many realities are confined to 4 walls, this is a chance for an immersion into the expanse of Aotearoa – if not in real life then through the taste of Kāpiti,” said Fontaine.
“Dive into a sensorial adventure where art sculptures meet NZ’s landscapes, inspired by the pure flavours of Kāpiti.”
